Create a meeting Focus
Open System Settings > Focus and create a dedicated mode such as "Presentation" or "Calls". Allow only the people and apps that may interrupt you while your screen is visible to others. Everything else can wait until you return to normal work.
Connect it to your workflow
If you often use Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, or FaceTime, turn the Focus on before important calls or pair it with an automation that matches your routine. Also check notification settings for options that suppress alerts while mirroring or sharing your display. That gives you protection at both the Focus level and the notification level.
Test before it matters
Run a short test meeting, share your screen, and send yourself a harmless message from another device. Check banners, previews, badges, calendar alerts, chat apps, and mail. The goal is to find noisy settings before a real client call or presentation.
Good to know
Do not block emergency contacts completely. A small allow list for family, critical colleagues, or security apps is smarter. The Focus should protect your presentation, not cut you off from something genuinely urgent.
